WinClick

Switched from Windows and still reach for Ctrl+X, Delete or F2? WinClick adds the file shortcuts and right-click menu items that Finder never had — Cut and Paste for files, a New submenu, Move to and Copy to, Ctrl+Alt+Del, Open Terminal Here and more. Every item can be switched on or off.

Right-click menu

• Cut & Paste Move files with ⌘X and ⌘V, like Windows.
• New ▸ Create a folder, text, Markdown, JSON, shell script, Word, Excel or PowerPoint file in place. Add your own file types.
• Open Terminal Here From the menu or ⌃⌥T.
• Copy as Path One POSIX path per line, ⌥⌘C.
• Move to ▸ / Copy to ▸ Your last five folders, then Choose Folder….
• Always Open With ▸ Change the default app for every file of that type.

Keyboard

• Delete → Trash Delete moves to Trash; with nothing selected it goes Back.
• Delete without the Trash ⇧Delete, Finder asks first.
• Open & Get Info Return opens, ⌥Return shows info.
• Rename, Search, Go to Folder F2, F3, F4.
• Show Desktop ⌃⌥D works anywhere, not just in Finder.
• Ctrl+Alt+Del ⌃⌥⌫ opens one popup to force quit the app in front, lock, log out or open Activity Monitor. Then Return closes a frozen app.
• Task Manager ⌃⇧⎋ opens Activity Monitor, from any app.

Always up to date

• Automatic updates WinClick checks once a day and offers new versions. Switch it off in About ▸ Updates.
• Menu bar Pause WinClick, check permissions, check for updates or open Settings.
• Clean uninstall Remove WinClick… switches everything off, deletes its settings and moves the app to the Trash.

Every WinClick starts with a 7-day free trial — everything unlocked, no card needed. Finder's right-click menu (Cut, Paste, New, Move to, Copy to and the rest) stays free after the trial; the keyboard and system-wide shortcuts need a licence.

One personal licence works on up to 3 of your Macs. Subscriptions renew automatically; cancel any time in WinClick ▸ About ▸ Manage Subscription or here. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the month or year you have paid for, and that payment is not refunded. Switching to yearly starts right away at the full price; switching to monthly starts when the paid year ends. Nothing is prorated. Sales tax or VAT is added at checkout where it applies. Already subscribed and want the lifetime licence? Buy it and we end your subscription at the period you have already paid for — no double charge. Lost your key? Have it emailed again.

Install

Open the downloaded .dmg and drag WinClick to Applications. On first launch the Setup tab walks you through enabling the Finder extension and granting Accessibility, which lets the helper see the shortcut keys. WinClick never records or sends your keystrokes. It goes online only to check for updates and to verify your license, which sends your license key, an anonymous ID for your Mac and the Mac's name.

macOS does not show Finder extension menus inside iCloud Drive, so Cut, Paste and New do not appear in Desktop or Documents while those are synced to iCloud. Other cloud folders (Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive) are likely affected the same way. Local folders, Downloads and external drives work normally.
